Christmas Peas
ingredients
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen peas, thawed
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1 can (2.8 oz.) French-fried onions, divided
- 1 small red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/4 Cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper

Preheat oven to 350°.

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except 1-cup French-fried onions; mix well.

Pour into an 8-inch square baking dish and sprinkle the reserved 1-cup french-fried onions around the edges.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
