Chicken Spanakopita Burgers
Pair with my tazaki sauce and a greek salad
ingredients
- 1 - 1.5 lbs ground chicken
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 box frozen spinach (defrosted)
- 1 tbs cumin
- 1 tbs grill seasoning
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of half a lemon

Over medium heat, sautee the garlic and onions until translucent, about 3-5 minutes. Set aside in a bowl to cool. Add the lemon juice and hot sauce.

Defrost the spinach and let cool. Once cooled, squeeze out the liquid and add it to the onions/garlic mixture. Add the ground chicken, feta cheese, cumin, grill seasoning, and oregano and mix to combine.

Set aside in the fridge for at least a half hour to combine flavors. When ready to grill, form into patties, drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over the patties and grill 5-6 minutes on each side.
