Amish Macaroni Salad
ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 lb. cooked macaroni (large & small)
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1/4 c. yellow mustard
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1/2 c. diced carrot
- 1/2 t. celery seed
- 1 t. dried parsley
- 2 diced hard boiled eggs
- 1/3 c. pimento
- 1 - 15 oz. can English peas
- 1/3 c. chopped water chestnuts
directions
Boil together sugar, flour, vinegar and water. Cool and mix with mustard and mayonnaise. Poor over vegetables and add to chilled cooked macaroni.
