Strawberry Dessert

ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • Filling:
  • 20 large marshmallows
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. whip cream, whipped
  • 2 packages (3 oz each) strawberry jello
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 package (16 oz) frozen strawberries

    Cut butter into flour and brown sugar, like for a pie crust. Stir in pecans. Press into the bottom of 13x9x2 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool.

    Melt marshmallows in milk in top of double boiler. Cool, then fold in whipped cream. Spread over crust; chill until set. Dissolve jello in water, add strawberries. Chill until partly set, spoon over marshmallow layer. Chill until set. Cut to serve.
