Gruner Salad

  • Dressing:
  • 2 c. corn oil
  • 3/4 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. and 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • Topping:
  • 1 package ramen noodles (omit seasonings)
  • 2 Tbsp almond slices
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • Salad:
  • 1 head cabbage - chopped
  • 2 green onions - chopped

    Mix and boil 2 minute, cool in refrigerator before putting on cabbage

    Melt margarine, add sesame seeds, almonds, and noodles. Brown in oven at 350 degrees, stirring every 10 minutes for 30 minutes.

    Just before serving, combine cabbage with 1/3 c. dressing and 4 Tbsp topping. Adjust amounts depending on amount of cabbage.

    easy and tastes great! Much better than the recipe similar to this one where you use the seasoning packet that comes with the soup. Have had both and this one is by far the better one.
