Leonardo's Lasagne

ingredients

  • 4 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1 lb. of ground beef
  • 1 lb. of ground pork
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 2 stalks of chopped celery
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 large cans of petite tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 lg pkg mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 box of cooked lasagna noodles

    Sauce

    Saute onions, carrots, and celery in olive oil. Add garlic, ground beef and pork until done. Then add tomatoes and tomato paste and cook and stir all well until soft over low heat. Sauce should be thick!

    Layering

    Pour small amount of sauce in bottom of pan. put strips of cooked noodles over sauce. add sauce again, mozzarell cheese, and then Parmesan cheese. Continue layering bringing up to pan height. Cover with Bechemel Sauce and either bake @350 or freeze

Bechemel Sauce is a fairly thick white sauce. Butter, flour, cream, and I add Parmesan cheese.
