Impossible Taco Pie
This is a one dish Bisquick recipe developed in the 80’s and still popular today. If you like Tacos you will love this recipe!
ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
- 3/4 cups biscuit baking mix (Bisquick)
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/4 head lettuce shredded
- 1 tomato diced
- 1/4 cup olives sliced

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Grease pie plate,10x1 1/2,or square baking dish, 8x8 inches.

Cook and stir ground beef and onion in skillet until beef is brown;drain. Stir in seasoning mix, dry. Spread in pie plate.

Beat milk, eggs and Bisquick baking mix with wire wisk until smooth. Pour into pie plate.

Bake about 25 minutes or till knife inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake about 2 minutes longer or til cheese is melted. Cool 5 min.

Garnish with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, black olives.
notes
You can add sliced avocado if so desired. Serve with Sour Cream Double the recipe, and use a 9x13 pan.
