Banana Bread
Wonderful recipe! Very moist and tasty!
1½ cup all purpose flour
1½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
¼ cup buttermilk
1 cup (about 3) bananas, mashed
¾ cup white sugar, ( or ½ cup white and ¼ cup brown)
¼ cup oil
1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
½ c chopped walnuts ( or pecans)
Mix together dry ingredients and set aside. Mix together sugar, egg and oil. Add bananas, lemon zest and buttermilk. Stir in flour mixture until mixed well blended, add nuts. Fill greased loaf pans ⅔ full, bake 350 degrees approximately 45 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

When I make this after I butter the pan I sprinkle some sugar in the pan and then more on top of the bread for an extra kick.
