Parmesan Pita Crisps

  • 4 pita rounds

  • 4 tbsp butter (or equivalent heart healthy spread), melted

  • ¾ C shredded Parmesan cheese

  • ½ C freshly chopped Italian parsley

  • Pre-heat the broiler.

  • Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the pita rounds into fourths and then separate the fourths into layers. Place the layers smooth side down on a cookie sheet. Brush liberally with butter and sprinkle with cheese.

  • Broil until the cheese melts and the pita triangles begin to brown.

  • Transfer to a platter and serve.
