Scones “Boulderado”
Makes a big batch, which I divide into 3 sections and freeze, so I can always have fresh-baked scones. You can also pat out the dough, cut into wedges, and freeze these so you can bake up a few at a time.
ingredients
- 8 C. flour
- 2 C. raisins
- 1 C. sugar
- 2 T. baking powder
- 2 t. baking soda
- 1 t. salt
- 12 oz. chilled butter
- 2 2/3 C. buttermilk
- 1 T. vanilla extract
