Pecan Pie
This is my Aunt Jane’s Pecan Pie recipe. We love it for Thanksgiving.
ingredients
- 9-inch unbaked pie crust
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter, melted (must be real butter!)
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup pecan halves
directions
Preheat oven to 375F. In a large bowl, with a wire whisk or rotary beater, beat together eggs, sugar, salt, butter and corn syrup. Mix in pecans. Pour into piecrust. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. If not just about set, lower oven to 325F and bake longer. A knife inserted in center should come out clean.
