Garlic Cheese Grits
ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked regular grits
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1 (6-ounce) roll garlic cheese
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (optional)
directions
Cook grits according to package directions. Remove from heat and let stand for 15 minutes. Stir in egg yolks, cheese and next 3 ingredients until smooth. Pour mixture into a lightly greased baking dish and bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes.
notes
If you can't find garlic cheese rolls, use velveeta and garlic powder instead.
