Snickerdoodles

  • ½ cup Crisco

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1½ cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2¾ cup flour

  • 2 tsp cream of tartar

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 3 T. sugar

  • 3 tsp cinnamon

  • Cream together Crisco, butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Shape into balls the size of small walnuts. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and roll balls in mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes.
