Sausage & Wild Rice Casserole
Favorite Thanksgiving recipe from Lorraine Otani
ingredients
- 1 C. wild rice
- 1 lb. sausage meat (Jimmy Dean’s)
- 2 3-oz. Cans sliced mushrooms
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 medium onion – thinly sliced
directions

Cook rice until tender but not mushy. Drain.

Cook sausage until crumbly. Pour off fat.

Stir in drained mushrooms and soup. Add to rice.

Put layer of rice mixture in buttered casserole. Top with thinly slice onions.

Put in remainder of rice mixture. Cover casserole.

Bake at 350-degrees for 60 minutes. Serves 4
