Apple Ring
This was the very first recipe I ever learned to make in Home Economics with Mrs. Eicher at Jr. High East. I still love this and have kept it all these years.
ingredients
- Dough:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup crisco shortening
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 chopped, peeled apples
- cinnamon
- Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar

Mix dough with hands until it forms a ball

Roll out with rolling pin. Spread with applies and sprinkle with cinnamon

Cut into 2 inch thick slices and put in 9 by 9 pan or similar.

Pour over syrup

Bake at 400 degrees fro 25 minutes
