Cuban Burgers

This recipe is inspired by Bobby Flay’s Pressed Cuban Burger. Ham, swiss, pickles and garlicky Cuban sauce are a great combo!

  • 1 lb. ground beef, divided into 6 burger patties

  • 6 slices swiss cheese

  • 12 thin slices of ham

  • Thinly sliced kosher dill pickles

  • 6 rolls

  • ½ c. mayo

  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic (plain or roasted)

  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard

  • Cuban Sauce: whisk the mayo, garlic and mustard together and set aside

  • Cook the burgers to your liking.

  • Spread the Cuban sauce on both sides of a roll. Place burger on the roll. Top with ham, pickles and swiss. Put the whole thing in a heated panini press until the bun is crisp and browned and the cheese is melted.

  • Serve with Tracy’s Mojitos and Fay’s Puerto Rican Pasta Salad or Dill Potato Salad for the perfect summer meal.
