Spanish Rice
Serve on the side of tamales.
ingredients
- 2 cups of white long grain rice
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 tsp of cumin seed
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 small can of tomato sauce
- 1 – 3 cups of water

1. Place oil in the pan at a medium to high heat.

2. Once the oil is heated add the long grain rice. Keep turning the rice until is nice and toasty. This usually takes about 7 – 10 minutes.

3. Reduce heat and add the remaining ingredients and stir until all the ingredients are mixed. You will not need to stir the rice again.

4. Cover and continue to check for the next 30-40 minutes to make sure you have enough water until the rice is completely cooked.
