Chocolate Almond Toffee
ingredients
- 1/4 lb. almonds
- 1 1/2 cups salted butter,
- 3 cups sugar
- semi-sweet chocolate pieces, (ex. milk, dark, french vanilla)

1. Preheat oven to 350°

2. Spread almonds on lightly greased baking sheet and bake 15 minutes til toasted. Allow to cool. Place almonds in plastic bag and crush.

3. Melt butter in saucepan; add sugar and stir thoroughly and constantly about 30-35 minutes. Mix until creamy and caramel in color.

4. Spread mixture in 18x13 pan with high rim. Allow to cool slightly and become slightly firm.

5. Melt chocolate pieces in saucepan and pour over toffee; sprinkle with crushed toffee. Allow to cool. Break apart and serve.
