Jay’s Habañero Burgers

These burgers can be as hot as you want them to be, but the recipe I’ve outlined here is not hot at all. It exposes the wonderful flavor of the habañero peppers without hurting anyone’s mouth.
Note to chef: Make sure you use latex gloves since you’re working with habañero peppers.

ingredients

  • 1 pound of 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 habañero pepper (minced)
  • 1 clove of garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup of fresh basil (minced)
  • 1/4 cup of white onion (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of table salt
