Mini Cheese Cookies
Wonderful appetizers, shower or party treats. Great snack for kids too.
ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1/2 pound sharp to extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt & Cayenne red pepper
- Pecan or walnut halves, (Optional)
directions

Melt butter over low heat, adding cheese a little at a time until melted & smooth. Add salt & red pepper, stirring to incorporate into mixture. Add flour a little at a time until dough forms. Roll into small balls, pressed slightly with fork tongs, add nut half if desired & bake in a 325-degree oven on an un-greased cookie sheet for 10 minutes.
