This is a quick and easy soup for a cold winter day
2 pounds of very lean ground round beef
1 package dry Lipton soup
4 cups water
4 cans of beef broth
4 cups water
1 large can of crushed tomatos
1 pound frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup rice
Mix all ingredients together except rice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add 1 cup of instant or quick rice, and cook until rice is tender.
Serve with crackers or bread. Keeps well for a second meal.
