Fried Cauliflower

Deep Fried Cauliflower

  • 1 head of cauliflower

  • pancake batter (Bisquick works well)

  • oil for frying

  • Clean cauliflower and steam until just tender

  • Cool and separate into bite sized florets.

  • Dip each floret into prepared pancake batter, letting excess drip off back into bowl.

  • Deep fry cauliflower pieces a few at a time in a counter top fryer or on the stove in a skillet, until nicely browned. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and pepper .

  • Serve hot.

I don't get to see my dad often, but when I do I always try to cook things he likes to eat. This is one of his favorite ways to eat cauliflower. This also works well with other veggies like mushrooms, broccoli,and squash.
