Baby Back Ribs in a Beer BBQ Sauce

ingredients

  • 3 cups beer
  • 1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar(packed)
  • 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3/4 TBLSP chili powder
  • 3/4 TBLSP cumin
  • 1/2 TBLSP dry mustard powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 lbs ribs (baby back or boneless)

    In a large pot bring all ingredients(except ribs)to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer 1 minute to blend. Add Ribs, cover pot and simmer for 25 minutes. Remove ribs.

    Boil sauce until reduced by 1/2 (about 30 minutes) Discard bay leaf.

    Brush ribs with sauce and grill on hot grill about 6 minutes on each side.

    Or pour sauce over ribs and bake in oven at 350 for 40 minutes.

The sauce is so good I always double the recipe, and keep some in the fridge. Bob's favorite food is BBQ. In Fla there is a restaurant called Tom Jr.s. They have the worlds best BBQ & ribs, mine are close,but Tom's will always be the the gold standard.
