Fish Puffs

Gortons Fish Fillets in puff pastry

  • 1 pkg Gortons fish fillets (garlic butter flavored)

  • 1 Sheet Puff dough pastry (Thawed)

  • 1 TBLSP butter

  • ¼ Cup fresh mushrooms

  • ¼ Cup onion (chopped)

  • 4 Large shrimp (cooked peeled and deveined)

  • Cook fillets according to package directions.

  • While fillets are cooking sauté the mushrooms and onion in butter. Set aside to cool slightly.

  • Roll out the puff pastry sheet. Place cooked fillets side by side on pastry dough.(Use any juice that is in the pan on top of the fish) Top each fillet with half of the mushroom/onion mixture and 2 shrimp.

  • Seal pastry dough over fillets on top and sides. Make sure it is a well sealed package.

  • Bake in hot 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until puff pastry is golden brown. Cut in half and serve.

PREP TIME: 10 min

TOTAL TIME: 35 min

notes:

Any type of fish fillet (fresh or frozen )can be used. Really nice with fresh Salmon and crab meat!
