Cabbage Soup
ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 c. onion
- 2 c. cabbage
- 1 pkg frozen lima beans (cooked/drained)
- 1 c. sliced carrots
- 1 c. diced potatoes
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. Paprika
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper
- 3 c. milk
- 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Sauté onion in 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 2
Add cabbage, beans, carrots, potatoes, salt to chicken broth. Cover and boil.

Reduce heat and simmer until carrots and potatoes are tender about 20 mins

Melt 1/4 c. butter in 4-quart Dutch oven. Blend in flour paprika and pepper.

Remove from heat stir in milk.

Boil and stir for 1 minute.

Remove from heat, stir in cheese until melted.

Add vegetables with liquid to cheese soup base.
