Damm good chili that was introduced to me by my good friend Brittany

ingredients

  • 2 TBS vegetable Oil
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 3/4 lb. Sirloin steak, cubed
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 2 cans tomato paste (6oz.)
  • 1 can beef broth (14oz.)
  • 1 can Black beans, drained
  • 3 cans Kidney beans, (15oz.), drained
  • 1 12oz. bottle dark beer
  • 2 cans regular Rotel (10oz.), don’t drain
  • 1 can mild Rotel (10oz.), don’t drain
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 1/2 TBS Chili Powder
  • 3 TBS Worstshire Sauce
  • 1 TBS ground Cumin Seeds
  • 1 TBS unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp ground Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Salt

    Heat oil in large saucepan. Cook onions, garlic, ground turkey, and cubed sirloin for about 10 minutes on medium heat

    Transfer the meat to a large pot. Mix in the Rotel, dark beer, coffee, tomato paste, Worstshire sauce and beef broth. Bring to a slow boil.

    Season with brown sugar, Chili Powder, ground Cumin, Cocoa Powder, Oregano, Cayenne Pepper, ground Coriander and salt. Stir in 2 cans of beans.

    Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

    Stir in the 2 remaining cans of beans, and simmer for another 30 min.

    Serve with cheese and chopped red onions sprinkled on top. Also great with fritos

notes

you can subsitute the beef for turkey meat.
