Mom's Stroganoff
ingredients
- 2 lb. Round Steak (or sirloin)
- 3/4 cup of Wondra flour
- pinch of salt
- pinch of pepper
- 1 pkg. Lawrey’s Stroganoff seasoning
- 3 Tablespoons of butter, plus 1 Tablespoon for noodles.
- 1 small can mushrooms (optional)
- 6 oz. of noodles cooked ad dente
directions
Cut steak in strips approx. 1“ wide x 4”. Dredge steak in flour. Heat large frying pan to med. hi and brown steak in 3 Tablespoons of butter. Add Lawrey’s seasoning, following instructions on back of packet. Cook on low heat, covered for 45 min. Add mushrooms and juice. Serve over noodles.
Noodles: In med. large pot, boil salted water. Cook noodles until tender. Drain and toss with one Tablespoon of butter immediately. Serve with a salad and dinner rolls.
notes
If using round steak leave more time for simmering the meat.
