Karan's Spicy Cheese Bites
Use the smaller side of a melon-baller to make perfect bite-sized “cookies.”
ingredients
- 1 stick margarine, softened
- 1/2 lb. sharp grated cheddar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne for mild
- cayenne to taste for spicy
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup Rice Krispies
- additional cayenne for spicy version
- (Reynold’s non-stick foil)

Mix flour, salt, and cayenne.

Add margarine and cheese and mix well. Add Rice Krispies last.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Line a cookie sheet with non-stick foil.

Scoop dough with a melon-baller, then use your finger to make the top level, then pull them out. (If dough is too crumbly, drizzle in a little vegetable oil and mix again.) Line up on the cookie sheet flat side down. You can place them pretty closely together. They don’t spread when cooking.

Bake 325 degrees 22 minutes.

I make up half a batch with only 1/8 teaspoon cayenne for myself, then add more cayenne for Dennis' half.
