Homemade Croutons

  • 4 to 6 cups day old french bread cut into cubes

  • 1 cube butter

  • Choice of seasonings:

  • 1 teas worchestershire

  • 1 to 2 teas Italian Seasoning

  • 1 to 2 teas onion powder

  • 1 teas each of dried basil and oregano

  • 2 large cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 teas dried parsley

  • Evenly spread bread cubes into pan and bake in 300° oven for 10 minutes or until a bit dry.

  • Remove from oven and lower oven temp to 275°

  • Melt butter and add seasonings. Toss seasoned butter over cubes and stir to coat. Return to oven and stir every 10 minutes for about 30 minutes or so.
