Grandma Anna Palazzolo's Pizza
The only thing that could keep us awake during midnight mass on Christmas Eve was the anticipation of Grandma’s pizzas waiting for us at home!
ingredients
- 1 1/2 frozen bread dough loaf (use large jelly roll pan)
- 1 8oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 onion-diced
- 1/2 lbs. fontinella cheese
- 1/2 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 C. parmesan cheese
- 2 Italian sausage links or pepperoni

Thaw and rise dough according to insertions on package. Spray pan and spread dough out. Cube fontinella cheese and press into dough. Sauté onions and 1 garlic clove, then add tomato sauce, pinch of salt, pepper, and sugar. With a slotted spoon, put onions on dough, and then spread sauce. Next, drizzle olive oil around edge of crust and then all over pizza. Then 1/2 C. shredded mozzarella and 1/2 C. parmesan. Finish with oregano.
