Apple Dumplings
2 apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup butter, room temperature
Preheat oven to 350°. Wrap each apple quarter in a triangle of crescent roll dough and place in a round baking dish. Combine water, sugar, brown sugar, and butter in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; pour over dumplings. Sprinkle cinnamon over top. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Serve warm with cream, if desired.
