Joe loves pie!
prepared pie crust(baked & cooled)
2 c milk
2 (1 oz) squares of Baker’s semi-sweet baking chocolate
¼ c corn starch
1 c sugar(mix sugar with corn starch)
dash salt(add to milk and chocolate)
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 T butter
1 t vanilla
In double boiler melt milk and chocolate with salt.
When chocolate is melted add sugar/cornstarch mixture.
Cook until thickens.
Add yolks. Add butter and vanilla.
Put in pie crust.
Meringue:
3 egg whites
½ t vanilla¼ t cream of tartar
6 T sugar
Put meringue on top and bake 350 for 10-15 minutes until meringue browns.
