Smokehouse Layered Dip
Everyone will love this zesty new spin on a classic pot-luck recipe. Even the guys will be asking for the recipe.
8 oz (250 g) brick-style cream cheese, softened
¼ cup (50 mL) sour cream
1 tsp (5 mL) ground cumin
1 tsp (5 mL) grated lime zest
½ tsp (2 mL) pepper
½ cup (125 mL) Diana Sauce, Western Smokehouse flavour, divided
1 cup (250 mL) seeded and diced tomato
1 cup (250 mL) diced yellow pepper
1 cup (250 mL) chopped green onion
1 cup (250 mL) shredded cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips
Beat cream cheese with sour cream, cumin, lime zest, pepper and half of the Diana Sauce until smooth. Spread into an 11 x 7 inch (2 L) serving dish.
Toss the remaining Diana Sauce with the tomato, yellow pepper and half the green onion; spoon evenly over the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and the remaining green onion. Serve with tortilla chips.
