Apple Crisp Pie

ingredients

Filling:
  • 5-6 cups of thinly sliced apples
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tbs. flour
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 deep dish pie shell 9"
Topping
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbs. butter
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

    Get a few different types of apples. Peal apples. Slice apples in small, thin pieces so that when they cook they will be very soft. Squeeze lemon juice over sliced apples so that they wont brown. Mix up all other ingredients into the bowl of apples, making sure that all the apples are coated with the mixture.

    In a separate bowl mix the topping ingredients. It is important that the butter is not melted, but only soft. To make mixing easier, cut the butter into smaller pieces and use your clean hands to mix everything together. Spring the topping evenly over the apple pie.

    Bake at 375° for 45-60 minutes. Always let the pie cool for another half an hour at the least.
