Sukiyaki
Japanese stir fry, can be made with beef, pork or chicken as well as seafood
ingredients
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 pound sirloin beef, sliced very thin
- 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 leek, thinly sliced
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 cup sugar snap peas
- A handful of cellophane noodles pre-soaked
- 7-8 shiitake mushrooms
- 1 bunch water cress
- 1 package tofu cut into 1-2 inch squares
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- For sukiyaki sauce:
- 1/3 cup soy sauce / 3 tbsp sake (Japanese rice wine) / 5 tbsp sugar / 3/4 cup water
