Hot Cranberry Bake

A cranberry syrup bubbles beneath the streusel-topped fruit in this easy winter dessert

ingredients

  • 4 cups apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 a cups quick-cooking oats -uncooked
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • a cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 butter or margarine - melted

    Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees and lightly grease 2 quart baking dish.

    Combine apples and cranberries in a lightly greased baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice; top with sugar.

    Combine oats, nuts, brown sugar, and butter. Stir mixture just until dry ingredients are moistened and mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit.

    Bake at 325 degrees for one hour.

    Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
