Carol's Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2½ cups flour
1 lg box dry instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 oz chocolate chunks
6 oz toffee bits

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix butter, sugars, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients a little at a time, beat until smooth. Stir in chips, chunks and bits. Place rounded drops of batter on cookie sheet (just under ¼ cup). Bake 8-9 minutes in preheated oven. After cooking, bang cookie sheet on counter to let air out of cookies. Cool 3 minutes and remove to wire rack.
