Cinnamon Rolls
This recipe was given to me from Andrea Brian who brought these yummy cinnamon rolls into work. They are similar to the cinnamon rolls they made at the Chateau on the Lake -- the restaurant I worked at through high school.
ingredients
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 3 c. Bisquick
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
directions
Preheat oven to 375°. Mix yeast with warm water and set aside. Melt butter and set aside. Mix sugar with cinnamon and set aside. Mix Bisquick with cold water. Add yeast mixture to Bisquick and mix. Let dough stand for 10 minutes. Divide dough into fourths. Roll each piece of dough into rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Roll from the long end, cut into one inch pieces and place into pan. Continue with remaining dough. Brush any remaining butter over the tops of rolls and sprinkle with any remaining cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 18-20 minutes.
