7 Cheese Mac & Cheese
This recipe is not going to be one of your children’s favorites, but it is a big hit with adults!
ingredients
Cheese Sauce- 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 jar Cheese Whiz
- 1 lb. 2 year old Aged White Cheddar Cheese, grated
- 1 cup Gruyere Cheese, grated
- 1 cup Fontina Cheese, grated
- 1 cup Gouda Cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Reggiano Cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup Maytag Blue Cheese, crumbles
- 1/4 cup German White Wine like Blue Nun
- 1 TBSP Mustard
- 1/2 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 TBSP Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Fresh Ground Nutmeg
- 6 shakes of Cholula Hot Sauce
- 1 lb. Elbow Macaroni
- 1 1/2 TBSP Fresh Ground Pepper
- 1 TBSP Salt
- 1 TBSP Garlic Salt
directions
In large sauce pan heat whipping cream and Cheese Whiz over medium heat until Cheese Whiz is thoroughly melted in the whipping cream. Turn heat to low and slowly add the cheeses to the mixture. When all the cheese has been added and melted, add the remaining ingredients. Once all the ingredients are combined, pour sauce over the noodles and serve.
Bring a large pan of water to a boil. Add a handful of salt to the water and add the noodles. Cook noodles per package directions or until al dente. Drain the noodles and season with pepper, salt and garlic salt in a large bowl. Toss to coat with seasonings. Pour cheese sauce over noodles and serve.
notes
This recipe won't separate like most macaroni and cheese recipe and reheats well in the microwave oven.
