Mom’s Christmas Breakfast Egg CasseroleCarly pricco

- 4 c cubed day-old firm white or french bread
- 2 c (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
- 10 eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 c milk
- 1 t dry mustard
- 1 t salt
- Dash of freshly ground pepper
- 1/2 c mushrooms, sliced
- 5 italian sausages, cooked and sliced
- 1/2 c chopped tomatoes
Generously butter 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange bread cubes in dish and sprinkle with cheese. Beat together next 5 ingredients and pour evenly over cheese and bread. Sprinkle with italian sausages, mushrooms and tomato. Cover and chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake casserole uncovered until set, about 1 hour. Cover with foil if top begins to overbrown.
