Southern Bean Soup
Thick bean soup with leftover bits of chicken and savory bits of veggies
Overnight, soak 1 c dried beans overnight in ½ t. baking soda and 3 c cold water, cover loosely with clean kitchen towel. In the morning, drain, rinse beans, place in crockpot, cover with water or chicken broth and cook all day or 10 hours. About 20 min before eating, add any leftovers like grilled chicken and corn leftovers and two heaping tablespoons of salsa. Enjoy.
