Grandma's Pie

This one has been with me for along time, still tried and true. This one does not stay in the frig long, Sometimes i eat it for breakfast. I can make this one in my sleep.

ingredients

First Layer
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 5 Tablespoon water
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts(optional)
Second layer
  • 1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Large container cool whip, divided (1 cup for 2nd layer. the rest goes on top)
Third Layer
  • 2 (3oz) boxes Pistachio instant pudding and pie filling
  • 3 cups milk

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    First layer: In a medium bowl mix together flour, Butter, and water. press into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish and bake for 25 min. cool completely.

    Second layer: In a mixer combined cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 cup cool whip. Spread this on top of the crust.

    Third layer: whip together pudding and milk. keep mixing until pudding mix starts to thicken. Pour over layers 1 and 2. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

    top layer: spread the remaining cool whip on top.

Servings size depends on if I'm in town or not.
