Herbed Chicken Rose

ingredients

  • 6 pieces chicken, breast or legs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 Tbsp flour
  • 6 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1 C. rose wine
  • 3/4 C. sour cream

directions

Dredge chicken pieces in a mixture of garlic salt, paprika and flour. Pour olive oil in a skillet or Dutch oven, add chicken and brown on both sides. Sprinkle chicken with rosemary and basil. Add wine, cover and simmer about 25 minutes, or until chicken is tender. Skim off excess fat, if necessary. Thicken liquid, if desired. Stir in sour cream and heat thoroughly over low heat. DO NOT BOIL.
