Chilli Chicken
ingredients
- 500 g chicken
- 1 egg
- 2 onions
- 1 spring onion
- 1/2 capsicum
- 3 green chillies
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp Soya sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- 2 tsp garlic paste
- 2 1/2 tbsp chilli sauce
- 3 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 cup corn flour
- Salt to taste

* Wash and chop the green chillies, spring onion and garlic cloves. Finely slice one onion and capsicum.

* Blend the other onion into paste.

* Cut the chicken into small pieces. Wash it and drain the excess water. Marinate with chilli powder, 1 tbsp chilli sauce, 1 tbsp tomato sauce, vinegar, 1 tbsp Soya sauce, garlic paste and ginger paste, onion paste and salt. Refrigerate for 5 hours.

* Heat oil in a skillet. Roll chicken pieces in corn flour and dip in egg. Deep fry the chicken pieces. Remove from oil and set aside.

* Add sliced onions, capsicum, spring onion, garlic and green chillies. Fry for a minute over medium heat.

* Add 1 1/2 tbsp chilli sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, and 1 tbsp Soya sauce. Stir for another minute.

* Add 1/2 cup water and stir in salt. Bring to boil.

* Add fried chicken. Dissolve 1 tsp corn flour in 1/2 cup water. Stir in.

* Remove from heat and sprinkle ground pepper.

* Garnish with slit green chillies.

* Serve hot with noodles or fried rice.
