Greek Honey Cake

ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup nuts(almonds, pistachios, walnuts in any combination),chopped
- HONEY SYRUP:
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 T lemon juice
- zest of 1/2 lemon
