Makes 6 crab cakes

ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked crab meat ~ 1 lb (premium crab if using canned)
  • 1/3 c fresh bread crumbs
  • 2 T mayonnaise
  • 2 t minced parsley
  • 1 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1/2 t dry mustard
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 1 lg egg
  • 3 T butter
  • 2 small lemons cut in wedges

directions

  • 1

    1. in large bowl with fork, break crab meat into fine shreds & stir in bread crumbs

  • 2

    2. in a bowl, whisk remaining ingredients (except butter & lemons) & add to crab mixture

    3. make 6 patties

    4. bake in 350° preheated oven for 5-8 minutes until golden brown

    5. drizzle with butter (melted) & garnish with lemon wedges

We've made these many times, but somehow, they never turn out as good as Marianne's
