  • 1 cushaw
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 stick butter, in chunks
  • sugar to taste
  • salt to taste

    Preheat oven to 325°.

    Cut up cushaw, removing outer peel. Boil in salted water until tender. Drain and cool.

    Mash cushaw, and add sugar, salt, egg and nutmeg.

    Put in greased baking dish and top with chunks of butter. Bake 1 hour.
