Boca Burger Pie
Jodi’s vegetarian version of the 70s Bisquick hamburger pie recipe
ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup Bisquick Reduced-Fat Baking Mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp table salt
- 6 Boca Original Vegan Burger
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp seasoned bread crumbs
- 8 oz canned tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup fat-free skim milk
- 1/2 tsp table salt
- 1/4 cup onion(s)
- 1/4 cup bell pepper(s)
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 cup Egg Beaters Egg Beaters
- 1 cup Kraft 2% Milk Reduced Fat Natural Shredded Cheese Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Mix bisquick and water to make dough. Turn out to floured board. Knead 5 times. Roll dough 2“ larger than 9” pie plate. Put in pie plate pre-sprayed with cooking spray. Flute edges of crust.

Cook Boca patties (I microwave them in a plate until cooked thoroughly) and grind (I use a food processor).

Saute onions and peppers in cooking spray. Mix ground Boca patties, onions and peppers with bread crumbs and tomato sauce and put in crust.

Beat egg with milk, salt and mustard powder. Pour over filled pie mixture. Top with grated cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees until cheese has begun to brown.
