Thai Beef Salad
Believe it or not I took Thai cooking lessons in Brussels of all places. This is one of our favorites.
ingredients
- 1 lb. Beef Tenderloin
- Soy Sauce
- Sauce
- 4 Tablespoons Fish sauce
- 5-6 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 2 Tablespoons sugar (level)
- Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
- 1-5 Chilis (based on your tastes) crushed and sliced
- 1 Tablespoon garlic, chopped
- 2 Tablespoons shallot. sliced in circles
- 1 Tomato, sliced
- 2-3 Tablespoons Fresh mint
- 1 Tablespoon Cilantro

Preheat the oven to 300. Marinate in soy sauce for at least 30 minutes. Roast until pink inside, then slice thin.

Pound chili and garlic until fine,set aside. Mix fish sauce, sugar lemon juice. Add beef to sauce, then add chili, garlic and shallots.

Before serving sprinkle with mint, cilantro and a little shallot for garnish.
notes
Careful with the chilis, don't double the chilis for a double recipe. Taste and then decide.
