Shanghai Chicken
A simple and tasty baked chicken dish.
ingredients
- Sauce:
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 c soy sauce
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 c honey
- 2 T paprika
- 1 1/2 t dry mustard
- pinch dried thyme
- 1(2 1/2-3 lbs.) cut up chicken, or equal amount of pieces
- Hot cooked rice

In a small bowl combine ingredients except chicken and rice. Mix well. Arrange chicken in single layer in 13x9x2-in. baking pan. Pour sauce over chicken. Marinade in fridge 1 hour.

Bake at 375 degrees F. for one hour, basting every 10 minutes with sauce. Basting is important.

Serve with rice.

If you like extra sauce, double amounts of sauce ingredients.
